Xaisomboun Province has authorized two companies to invest in small-scale solar power development projects with a combined capacity of 5 MW in Longchaeng District.
A concession agreement signing ceremony for the projects was held last week under the Build-Own-Operate (BOO) investment model. The agreements were signed between the Office of the Investment Promotion and Management Committee of Xaisomboun Province and IndoChina Green Power Company Limited and Leuert Power Company Limited.The ceremony was attended by Buaphan Inthapanya, Chair of the Provincial Governing Committee.Under the agreement, Leuert Power Company Limited will develop a 5 MW solar power project in Phonpha Village, while IndoChina Green Power Company Limited will implement another project in Nasaisavang Village in Longchaeng District. Both projects are granted concession periods of 25 years.Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Buaphan expressed appreciation to the companies for investing in development projects in the province. He emphasized the importance of environmental protection and called on relevant authorities and investors to ensure proper management and compliance with procedures to prevent negative environmental impacts and ensure the successful implementation of the projects.KPL
