(KPL) Bounleua Phandanouvong, Head of the Committee for External Relations of the Party Central Committee, received a courtesy call from Ong Siew Gay, Ambassador of Singapore to the Lao PDR, on Feb 24.
Mr. Bounleua congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed confidence that close coordination with Lao sectors will further strengthen bilateral friendship and deliver tangible benefits to both peoples, while contributing to a stronger ASEAN community.
Ambassador Ong expressed appreciation for the warm reception and congratulated Mr. Bounleua on his election to the Party Central Committee during the 12th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. He reaffirmed Singapore’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Laos.
Both sides agreed to advance collaboration in economy, trade and investment, human resource development, and regional cooperation within ASEAN and other multilateral frameworks.
