(KPL)A national meeting to disseminate and deepen understanding of the outcomes of the 12th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party was held at the National Convention Center on Feb 25.

The session was presided over by Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Lao PDR. Attendees included members of the Politburo and Secretariat, members and alternate members of the Party Central Committee, senior officials, and relevant stakeholders.

Addressing the meeting, President Thongloun said the successful conclusion of the 12th National Congress reflects strong unity and a high sense of responsibility across the Party. He stressed that the immediate priority is the effective implementation of the Congress’s political guidelines to achieve concrete results, including strengthening the Party’s leadership role, improving state management, and promoting the people’s right to collective mastery.

The meeting marked the formal launch of implementing the Congress resolutions. It aims to ensure comprehensive understanding of the Congress’s political and organizational directions, develop detailed action plans for all sectors and localities, and establish clear mechanisms for leadership, monitoring, and evaluation.

President Thongloun also called for breakthroughs in thinking, urging officials to remain steadfast amid changing conditions, counter distorted views, and maintain unity within the Party and society. He emphasized transforming the Congress resolutions into a broad national movement to advance development and safeguard national interests.

The session also reviewed the Political Program and Political Report adopted at the Congress, along with implementation plans for the 10th Five-Year National Socio-Economic Development Plan (2026–2030).
