Candidates contesting seats in the 10th Legislature of the National Assembly (NA) for Constituency No. 16 intensified their campaign efforts with an outreach visit to Development Zone II in Ban Phon, Laman District.

Leading the campaign were Mr. Bounchan Sivongphan, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Party Central Office (Candidate No. 1), and Mr. Bounlai Bouthi, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Sekong Provincial Party Committee (Candidate No. 2). They were joined by a team of 10 candidates, including two women, vying for seats representing Sekong Province in the upcoming legislative term.
The event was chaired by Mr. Sisouphan Mahavong, Deputy Secretary of the Sekong Provincial Party Committee, alongside Mrs. Soukmanivanh Xayyavongkhamdy, Deputy Secretary of the Lamam District Party Committee. Village authorities and eligible voters from Ban Phon, Kaeng Luang, Non Nong Wa, Houay Khiew–Nong Bong, Hong Lai, Ban Baeng, and Ban Tiew gathered to hear the candidates present their platforms and priorities.
Addressing the assembly, Mr. Sisouphan Mahavong outlined the objectives of the campaign and underscored the significance of citizen participation in the electoral process. He noted that election outreach not only allows candidates to introduce themselves and their policy directions, but also provides a valuable opportunity to connect directly with grassroots communities.
The visit enabled candidates to observe local infrastructure development, gain insights into the livelihoods and living conditions of residents, and receive feedback, recommendations, and aspirations from voters. Such engagement, he emphasized, is essential in ensuring that elected representatives of the 10th Legislature effectively reflect the voices and interests of the people in the National Assembly.
