The Public Security Department of Vientiane has called on residents who participated in the digital ID card issuance from October 27 to December 31, 2025, to collect their cards.
On February 12, 2026, the Vientiane Public Security Headquarters issued an official notification urging members of the general public to visit the headquarters to receive their digital ID cards.
All civil servants, military personnel, police officers, and Lao citizens who applied during this period should come to the Vientiane Public Security Headquarters, Family Registration and Foundation Building Office, during office hours.
Applicants are required to bring their appointment receipt or official family registration booklet to present to the staff.
Meanwhile, individuals who applied for a digital ID card from January 1, 2026, onward are asked to wait for further notifications from the Public Security Headquarters.
This initiative is part of the ongoing effort by Vientiane administration to modernize population management and ensure efficient public service delivery.
