The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, together with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Laos, hosted a spectacular music concert titled “Sounds of Artistic Harmony” at the National Cultural Hall, celebrating milestones in Laos–China diplomatic relations and the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival 2026).

The event marked the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties, the Laos–China Year of Friendship and Culture, and the achievements of the 12th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.
The concert drew an impressive audience, including President Thonglun Sisoulith, other Party and government officials, foreign diplomats, and distinguished guests from both countries.

Ms. Suansavan Viyaket, Minister of Culture and Tourism, highlighted that the performance showcased a rich mix of Lao and Chinese songs, international compositions, and collaborative performances that reflected the deep-rooted friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations.
“This concert is more than a celebration—it is a bridge connecting people, culture, and shared aspirations,” she said, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange in strengthening bilateral ties.

Ms. Fang Hong, Chinese Ambassador to Laos, added that the Chinese New Year represents family, hope, and new beginnings. “Music is a universal language that transcends borders, stirs emotions, and unites people,” she noted.

The event not only mesmerized audiences with high-level artistic performances but also symbolized the enduring friendship and cooperation between Laos and China.

As the new year approaches, organizers hope to continue fostering cultural ties and building a future of shared prosperity and mutual understanding.
