Candidates for the 10th National Assembly and the 5th Provincial People’s Council pledged to strengthen people-centered governance, improve state administration and promote national development during a campaign meeting with voters in Sanasomboun District on Feb 11, 2026.
The campaign event at Sanasomboun District Hall brought together 10 National Assembly candidates for Constituency 15, Champasak Province, and seven Provincial People’s Council candidates representing Sanasomboun District.
The delegation was led by Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, Politburo member and candidate No. 1 for the National Assembly, alongside fellow candidates and local leaders.
Candidates presented their backgrounds and policy priorities, affirming commitments to represent public interests, enhance governance effectiveness and advance socio-economic development.

They also encouraged citizens to exercise their voting rights on Feb 22 and to select qualified representatives to serve the people and the nation.
The campaign forms part of nationwide outreach activities ahead of the upcoming election.
