(KPL) Candidates for the 10th National Assembly from Constituency 18 of Xaysomboun Province stepped up their campaign in Hom District on Feb 9, 2026, outlining commitments to faster provincial development and closer coordination between central and local authorities.

The delegation was led by Mr. Phoikham Houngbounyouang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (Candidate No. 2), accompanied by five other candidates, including one woman.

During the event, candidates presented their backgrounds and key pledges if elected: to dedicate their full capacity to national service, strengthen the link between central and local governance, and advance Xaysomboun Province toward more sustainable growth.

They also encouraged voters in Hom District to exercise their democratic rights by choosing representatives with strong professional competence and revolutionary ethics.

Separately, the election committee introduced the Group 1 candidates who had earlier campaigned in Hom District’s municipal area. The group is led by Mr. Monsay Laomuaxong, Member of the Party Central Committee and Vice President of the Lao Front for National Development (Candidate No. 1), along with five other candidates, including one woman. The introduction aims to help voters make informed choices for effective representation in the National Assembly.
