In a solemn and dignified atmosphere following the successful conclusion of the 12th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the Central Party Committee of the 12th term organized a floral wreath-laying ceremony at the statue of President Kaysone Phomvihane.
The ceremony was led by Thongloun Sisoulith, Secretary-General of the Central Party Executive Committee, together with members of the Central Party Executive Committee of the 12th term. The delegation laid a floral wreath at the statue of President Kaysone Phomvihane, located at the Kaysone Phomvihane Museum (Km 6), to pay tribute to the revered and beloved leader of the Lao people.
The commemorative activity was held to express deep respect, gratitude, and remembrance for the outstanding virtues and immense contributions of President Kaysone Phomvihane. Throughout his life, he devoted his intellect, wisdom, and abilities to the cause of national liberation, as well as to safeguarding, building, and developing the nation, thereby laying a firm foundation for lasting stability, strength, and prosperity of the Lao PDR.
The wreath-laying ceremony also symbolized the firm commitment of the newly elected Central Party Executive Committee of the 12th term to uphold and carry forward the revolutionary legacy of President Kaysone Phomvihane, and to conscientiously fulfill their duties in protecting, building, and developing the country during the forthcoming five-year term.
