(KPL/Yonhap) The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) said Wednesday it will co-host a roundtable this week for companies operating in China, aimed at identifying business challenges and practical policy improvements.
The event, co-hosted by the National Assembly's Korea-China Parliamentary Friendship Group, will be held Thursday in Seoul. It will be the first official meeting between member lawmakers of the group and businesses active in China since the parliamentary group's reorganization in late 2022.
The roundtable seeks to gather first-hand accounts from the business community and explore solutions through legislative and administrative channels.
"The sustainability of South Korea-China economic cooperation hinges on listening closely to the voices of our businesses," said Rep. Kim Tae-nyeon of the ruling Democratic Party, who chairs the friendship group.
Kim added, "This roundtable will serve as a meaningful first step in crafting legislative and policy responses to the real-world difficulties our companies face in China."
