Donald Trump has signed a series of executive orders on Monday after taking office as the 47th president of the United States. The first nine decrees have been signed before a crowd of 20,000 people in the middle of the celebration of the presidential inauguration parade at the Capital One Arena stadium, in Washington D.C.

The first order nullifies 78 actions and executive orders, as well as presidential memoranda approved by his predecessor, Joe Biden, in the last four years, among others.

Meanwhile, another prohibits government officials from violating freedom of expression under the pretext of combating disinformation.

Trump also signed an executive order withdrawing Washington from the Paris Agreement, which was originally ratified at the annual United Nations Climate Conference in 2015. It sought to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, compared to pre-industrial levels, a metric that scientists believed would significantly reduce the impacts of climate change.

During his first term, Trump withdrew from the agreement; however, Biden re-entered it on his first day in office.

CNN previously predicted that Trump would make "one of the most intense and sweeping displays of presidential power on the first day of any administration, seeking to fundamentally change the course of the United States."
