KPL The Laos-Vietnam and Vietnam-Laos Cooperation Committees have reviewed the implementation of the guidance from the Politburos of the Party Central Committees and the agreements made between the governments of the two countries for 2024.


(KPL) The Laos-Vietnam and Vietnam-Laos Cooperation Committees have reviewed the implementation of the guidance from the Politburos of the Party Central Committees and the agreements made between the governments of the two countries for 2024.
The meeting also discussed cooperation plans for 2025, which will be proposed to the governments of both countries for approval at the 47th Meeting of the Laos-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee on Bilateral Cooperation, scheduled for January 9-10.
The Lao delegation was led by Mr. Viengsavanh Vilayphone, Permanent Vice President of the Laos-Vietnam Cooperation Committee, while the Vietnamese delegation was headed by Mr. Tran Quoc Phuong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Laos Cooperation Committee.
On this occasion, Mr. Viengsavanh Vilayphone expressed his pleasure and pride in hosting and working with Mr. Tran Quoc Phuong and his delegation, who travelled to Laos to prepare documentation for the upcoming 47th Meeting of the Laos-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee on Bilateral Cooperation.
The Lao side presented a report on the implementation of the 2024 Laos-Vietnam Cooperation Agreement. Guided closely by the two Parties and governments, collaboration at both the central and local levels has been effectively coordinated, achieving the objectives and goals outlined in the high-level agreement.
Bilateral cooperation in 2024 has shown significant progress, contributing greatly to the national development of both countries. It has further strengthened and expanded the longstanding great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
Both sides also agreed on the content of the draft minutes for the 47th meeting and the draft agreement on the bilateral cooperation plan for 2025.
The Presidents of the Laos-Vietnam Cooperation Committees are expected to propose these two draft documents to the Prime Ministers of both countries for consideration on January 9.
