(KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, accompanied by his wife and a
high-level delegation, arrived in Phnom Penh on Dec 4, following an invitation
from Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Manet.
PM Sonexay’s two-day visit aims to enhance the long-standing friendship and
comprehensive cooperation between the neighbouring countries.
Upon landing at Phnom Penh International Airport, the Lao delegation was
warmly received by Cambodian Energy Minister Keo Rottanak and other officials.
Highlights of the visit include tributes at the Independence Monument and
the Norodom Sihanouk Memorial, honouring Cambodia's revolutionary heroes.
During visit, PM Sonexay is expected to meet with prominent Cambodian
leaders, including King Norodom Sihamoni, National Assembly President Samdech
Heng Samrin, and Senate President Say Chhum.
The agenda also includes a visit to the Phnom
Penh Special Economic Zone and participation in the Laos - Cambodia Business
Forum, emphasizing economic cooperation.
