(KPL) The Ministry of National Defense will organize different activities to prepare for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Lao People's Army Day from now until January 20.
Those events is to promote the Lao People's Army Foundation to the wider society, welcoming the Vietnamese People's Army Art Team to Laos to show friendship, organizing military sports and mass sports around Vientiane Capital, and training and show shooting of all the battles at Vithayakhan Kommadam Field.
Ministry of National Defense, invited the leaders of the Party-State to visit and participate in the ceremony to celebrate the day of the establishment of the Army, organized the greetings of the leaders of the Party-State, retired senior revolutionary staff, visited the wounded soldiers who are recovering in the hospital and soldiers with disabilities, exhibited military products on January 12 and 18, organized a large national gathering ceremony.
The ceremony will be broadcast live through TV and radio on January 19, at the National Assembly Hall, and a walk for health will be held at That Luang Water Park, (That Luang Lake) organized by the Lao Front for National Development.
Lt. Gen. Thongloy Sirivong, Party Central Committee Member, Deputy Minister, Chief of the Political Department of the Ministry of National Defense, said at press conference at the Ministry of National Defense on January 5.
