KPL (KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone has called on relevant authorities to ensure that the development in the energy and mines sector is in line with the trend of environmental friendliness and sustainability.

(KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone has called on relevant authorities to ensure that the development in the energy and mines sector is in line with the trend of environmental friendliness and sustainability.

Giving a guidance speech at the annual meeting of the Ministry of Energy and Mines in Vientiane on Jan 3, the Prime Minister stated that more attention need to be attached to research, and improving the business authorization procedure of the industry, and make sure approval for each business activity be made in a strict and rule-based manner.

He urged more attention to be attached to strengthening businesses in the energy and mines sector so that they can be outstanding among business community.

He noted that in the recent years, the energy and mines sector has recorded firm and constant growth and contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of the country.

The meeting also discussed targets set for years to come (2021-2025) and the implementation of the two national agendas on addressing financial and economic difficulties and drugs problems in the energy and mines sector.
