(KPL) Laos and Vietnam have signed an MoU to strengthen cooperation on labour and social welfare.
The document was signed in Vietnam on Aug 4 between Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr Khampheng Saysompheng and Vietnamese Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Mr Dao Ngoc Dung in the presence of high-ranking officials of both sides.
The MoU aims to translate into reality the labour agreement signed by the governments of Laos and Vietnam in 1993.
Both sides agreed to work together to communicate the government agreements to local companies in their respective countries to make sure they realise the benefits to which they are entitled.
