(KPL) The Lao National Television and Jilin Radio and Television Week of China have promoted the culture of their respective nations and increased international cooperation.
A memorandum of understanding on cooperation was signed in Vientiane Capital on July 3 between Director General of the Lao National Television, Bounchao Phichit and Director General of Jilin Television of China, Zhao Jing Shun.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Savankhone Razmountry, Director of the Jilin Information Provincial Authority, China Zhang Shu Bin and relevant official of both sides.
Programs from Jilin's channel, on topics such as folk culture and natural resorts, will be played on Laos' national channel until July 10. People in Laos can learn about China, particularly Jilin province, on all aspects such as culture, sports, and business.
Mr Zhao said cooperation between Laos and Jilin province has improved in recent years and he hopes people in the two places can better know each other through the activity.
The Jilin Radio and Television Week activity has been held in many countries including Japan, Germany, and the US, and has contributed to cooperative exchanges between Jilin and the world.
