(KPL) Authorities in Saravan Province have issued a warning as the Sedone River continues to rise following several consecutive days of heavy rainfall.
As of August 19, 2026, the river had overflowed its banks and flooded roads in Nalek, Phonbok, Watkang and Tau Pun villages in Saravan District.
Residents living in low-lying and flood-prone areas are urged to remain vigilant and prepare for possible further increases in water levels. They are also advised to move essential belongings and valuables to higher and safer locations and closely monitor updates from local authorities
