The Industry and Commerce Department of Vientiane Province, in cooperation with local businesses in Viengkham District, has opened a store selling educational supplies at policy prices under the “Comfortable Price Project” to support families ahead of the new school year.

(KPL) The Industry and Commerce Department of Vientiane Province, in cooperation with local businesses in Viengkham District, has opened a store selling educational supplies at policy prices under the “Comfortable Price Project” to support families ahead of the new school year.
The store opened on August 18, 2026, at the Villa Photo Studio and General Office Supplies Store in Phonmi Village, Viengkham District, as part of the project's “Back to School” campaign.
Mr. Khamphet Thongphalit, Deputy Head of the Industry and Commerce Department of Vientiane Province, said the initiative aims to ease the financial burden on families, particularly low-income parents and guardians, by providing quality educational supplies at affordable policy prices.
Products available include textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, student uniforms and other school supplies.
The store will operate from August 18–23, 2026, with similar outlets planned for other districts across Vientiane Province.
Mr. Khamphet called on parents and the public to take advantage of the designated stores to purchase quality educational supplies at policy prices ahead of the new school year.
