(KPL) Khamphan Phueuyavong, a member of the Party Central Committee Politburo and Head of the Commission for Information and Education of the Party Central Committee, received a courtesy visit from Jung Yung Soo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Lao PDR, in Vientiane on April 23.
Mr. Khamphan warmly welcomed the ambassador and congratulated him on his recent appointment, noting the confidence placed in him by the government and people of the Republic of Korea to carry out his diplomatic mission in Laos.
He emphasized the importance of the ambassador’s role in further strengthening the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Laos and the Republic of Korea, as well as deepening ties between the two nations’ peoples.
Mr. Khamphan also expressed confidence that, with his experience and capabilities, Ambassador Jung would serve as a key bridge in expanding bilateral relations.
In response, Ambassador Jung Yung Soo expressed appreciation for the warm reception and briefed the Lao side on the objectives of his visit, reaffirming his commitment to enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
