Located in Ban Talung, Ta Oi District, the site features cool, clear flowing water and scenic rock formations. Local residents have constructed more than 10 huts over the river, allowing visitors to rest, dine and enjoy the surroundings.
Officials said the destination is well-suited for families and groups seeking relief from the heat during the festive period.
At an opening ceremony on April 3, the village chief of Ban Talung said the area’s clean water, natural landscape and eco-friendly facilities are key attractions. The huts are built using natural materials to preserve the environment.
Surrounded by forest and mountains, the site offers a quiet setting and fresh air, making it a popular seasonal getaway.
Local authorities are inviting both domestic and international tourists to visit during the New Year holiday.
Kaeng Xe Lanong is known for its shallow and relatively safe waters, suitable for swimming. The site has been open to the public since April 3, 2026.
