The President toured hard-hit areas, including Viengkham Village, Infantry Battalion 11, and Chansavang Village. At the Viengkham Village office, Mr. Sililaththongsin Thongpheng, Chairman of the Vientiane Administration Committee, reported that disaster management committee had already distributed food and emergency kits to 480 low-income families across five villages.
Significant progress has been made in restoring critical infrastructure. As of March 25, electrical grids in 10 villages have been repaired, involving the replacement of snapped poles and burnt meters. Internet services have been stabilized, and a fleet of water trucks is delivering approximately 222 cubic meters of clean water daily.

Furthermore, 130 youth volunteers are actively assisting residents with debris clearance and roof repairs. Medical teams stationed in the affected zones have treated 35 individuals for injuries caused by falling hailstones and roof tiles.
In a show of state support, President Thongloun announced a comprehensive relief package totaling 4 billion kip. This includes 3 billion kip for recovery efforts, 795 million kip specifically for 53 impoverished families across 18 villages, and additional grants for local administrative units. Most notably, the President announced a three-month waiver on electricity and water bills for all affected households to ease their financial burden.
Concluding his visit at the Viengkham Primary School and a housing complex for retired and disabled veterans, the President urged local authorities to expedite reconstruction and praised the resilience of the citizens during this challenging period.
