KPL The Laos–Thailand, Thailand–Laos Trade Exhibition celebrating the 2025 Grand Unity Kathin between the two nations officially opened on October 14, 2025, at the Savan ITECC Mall in Kaysone Phomvihane District, Savannakhet Province.

(KPL) The Laos–Thailand, Thailand–Laos Trade Exhibition celebrating the 2025 Grand Unity Kathin between the two nations officially opened on October 14, 2025, at the Savan ITECC Mall in Kaysone Phomvihane District, Savannakhet Province.

The opening ceremony was co-chaired by Mr. Phosy Khaikhamphithoun, Vice Governor of Savannakhet Province; Mr. Apichart Phetcharat, Deputy Chairman of the Thai–Lao Friendship Association; and Mr. Boualay Phanuwong, Secretary-General of the Lao–Thai Friendship Association.

The event aims to celebrate the 2025 Grand Unity Kathin while further strengthening the long-standing solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the Lao and Thai peoples.

As part of the celebration, a series of Kathin activities will be held from October 18–19, 2025.

On October 18 (Kathin Festivity Day), the event will begin at 17:00 with various cultural and entertainment programs, followed by the official Kathin celebration ceremony at 19:00. The program will feature Lao–Thai cultural performances and a donation ceremony of essential items such as blankets and medicine.

On October 19 (Kathin Offering Day), the traditional Kathin procession and robe-offering ceremony will take place at Wat Sunantharam in Kaysone Phomvihane District, Savannakhet Province.

All are warmly invited to join the festivities and take part in this meaningful Grand Kathin Offering, which symbolizes the enduring friendship and unity between Laos and Thailand.
