KPL As the Lao People’s Democratic Republic prepares to mark two momentous occasions — the 50th Anniversary of its Founding and the 105th Anniversary of the Birth of President Kaysone Phomvihane — senior officials are calling for renewed national unity and continued dedication to the country’s development goals.

Mr. Saysongkham Vorachit, Head of the Economic Department, Ministry of National Defense, shared his reflections on these historic events, emphasizing the achievements Laos has made over the past five decades.

“Throughout the years up to the present, we can see that our nation has undergone ongoing development,” he stated. “Therefore, we must uphold the leadership role of the Party in fulfilling our political responsibilities and actively contribute to implementing the two strategic missions: protecting and developing the nation to achieve prosperity and sustained progress.”

As preparations for the national celebrations intensify, Mr. Saysongkham extended heartfelt blessings to the leadership of the Party and the State, as well as to the Ministry of National Defense and former national leaders. He wished them good health and continued strength in guiding the Lao People’s Army — particularly the Economic Department — toward greater resilience, modernization, and development.

In his remarks, he also conveyed his best wishes to soldiers, military personnel, civil servants, and citizens of all ethnic groups across the country. He encouraged all to remain steadfast in their duties and to contribute enthusiastically to the upcoming celebrations.

“Let us join together to make the 50th Anniversary of the Lao PDR and the 105th Birthday of President Kaysone Phomvihane vibrant, meaningful, and reflective of the unity and progress our nation stands for,” he said.

The twin celebrations serve not only as a commemoration of Laos’s historical journey but also as a reminder of the continued collective effort required to ensure peace, independence, and prosperity for generations to come.
