(KPL) Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Manothong Vongxay, recently welcomed Cuban Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Laos, Ms. Enna Viant Valdés, and her delegation to discuss the advancement of bilateral economic and commercial cooperation.
The meeting focused on preparations for Laos’s participation in the 38th Havana International Trade Fair, with the aim of enhancing commercial relations between the two governments. Discussions centered on exploring potential markets, promoting commerce and services, encouraging investment, and boosting the export of Lao products to Cuba.
The visit also laid the groundwork for a potential cooperation project between the two nations, with plans to sign a memorandum of understanding between Laos’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment.
