Vietnamese Embassy joins traditional Lao New Year celebration in Russia

KPL (KPL/VNA) A delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, led by Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi, visited the Lao Embassy in Moscow on April 16 to extend New Year greetings on the occasion of Boun Pi Mai, the traditional New Year festival of Laos.

(KPL/VNA) A delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, led by Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi, visited the Lao Embassy in Moscow on April 16 to extend New Year greetings on the occasion of Boun Pi Mai, the traditional New Year festival of Laos.

Ambassador Khoi and his spouse extended their best wishes to Ambassador Siphandone Oybuabuddy, his spouse, and the entire staff of the Lao Embassy, wishing them a new year filled with success, happiness, and good health.

The Vietnamese diplomat highlighted the enduring friendship between Vietnam and Laos, with regular high-level visits. He expressed hope that 2025 would see many meaningful joint activities between the two embassies, thus deepening their shared ties with Russia as well as the special Vietnam–Laos relationship.

Lao Ambassador Siphandone Oybuabuddy praised the strong traditional bond between the two embassies in Russia, saying he hopes that the two missions would continue to enhance their cooperation, contributing to the growth of the special Vietnam–Laos relationship.

In a festive setting, diplomats and staff from both embassies celebrated Lao New Year by sharing traditional dishes and participating in cultural activities like water splashing, dancing, and wrist-tying to exchange good wishes for the year ahead.
