(KPL) The Tourism Promotion Department under the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism organized a media trip for Lao and Thai journalists to explore tourist attractions in the central provinces of Khammuan and Savannakhet.

Mrs. Manisakhone Thammavongsay, Director General of the Tourism Promotion Department, said: "This media trip, scheduled for January 25-30, aims to promote tourism in Laos by allowing journalists from both countries to experience well-known attractions in Khammuan and Savannakhet. As these provinces border Thailand and are well connected by convenient transport infrastructure, they offer easy access for tourists to visit and participate in various activities."

The programme provided Lao and Thai journalists with opportunities to experience adventure tourism, eco-tourism, and lifestyle tourism. They also explored historical and natural attractions, including Sikhottabong Stupa, Tham Phanong Pafa, Nong Pa Seuam in Thakhek, Phouphaman, Khunkongleng, Xebang Fai Cave, Xienglu Waterfall, Inhang Stupa, Ho Tai Pidok Library, and Monkey Forest.

On this occasion, Mrs. Manisakhone invited Thai tourists to visit Laos, particularly Khammuan and Savannakhet, which are centrally located and well connected to neighboring countries by land, air, and water transport infrastructure.
