Vietnamese Party Secretary General’s Spouse Visits Lao Women with Disability Association

KPL On November 4, 2024, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, spouse of the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam, visited the Lao Women with Disability Association in Hadxayfong District, Vientiane.

 

(KPL) On November 4, 2024, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, spouse of the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam, visited the Lao Women with Disability Association in Hadxayfong District, Vientiane.

She was joined by Mrs. Naly Sisoulith, spouse of the Party Secretary General and State President, who also serves as the Honorary President of the Lao Handicraft Association.

Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly is visiting Laos to participate in the 9th ASEAN Traditional Textile Symposium held in Vientiane.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare also attended the visit to the association, which operates under the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.

The Women with Disability Association has made significant contributions to supporting and developing opportunities for women with disabilities in Laos, achieving notable outcomes both domestically and regionally, particularly in community-based development efforts for people with disabilities.

The association has received multiple awards for outstanding products and has completed vocational training for 24 groups of women with disabilities, with over 1,560 individuals trained. Additionally, it has established development groups in Luang Prabang, Sekong, and Vientiane, with more than 80 members.

During the visit, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly presented relief items to the Women with Disability Association. Later that day, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly and her delegation also visited the That Luang Museum and Phat Tich Temple, a Vietnamese Buddhist temple in Vientiane.
