(KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone received a courtesy call from Mr. Chau Van Minh, President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, on August 7 in Vientiane.

Mr. Minh and his delegation are on a working visit to Laos from August 5 to 9 to collaborate with the Ministry of Technology and Communications.

Prime Minister Siphandone expressed his pleasure in hosting Mr. Minh and his delegation, emphasizing the significance of this visit in fostering collaboration in science and technology between Laos and Vietnam.

He highlighted the importance of deepening ties and sharing knowledge and expertise in these fields between Laos and Vietnam.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister praised the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology for its significant contributions to scientific research and technology development.

He recognized the Academy's role as a leading institution in advancing science and technology in Vietnam and commended its efforts in promoting modernization and industrialization.

The visit is expected to enhance bilateral cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, focusing on joint research initiatives and technological advancements.

The exchange of ideas and experiences between the two countries aims to build stronger partnerships and drive forward collaborative projects in science and technology.

Prime Minister Siphandone expressed his commitment to supporting and expanding these cooperative efforts, highlighting the mutual benefits that such partnerships bring to both nations.

In reply, Minh expressed thanks to the Prime Minister for his warm and friendly welcome and reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
