The project through cooperation in the project aims to strengthen the National Assembly and People's Councils at the provincial or STEPs level.
The handover ceremony was held last Friday, at the National Assembly in Vientiane represented by Mr. Mike Cipher, Deputy Director of the United States of America for International Development to the Asia region and represented by Mr. Bounthan Bounvilay, Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly.Mr. Mike said that the donations considers as an important milestone in the cooperation between the International Development Organization of the United States of America and the Lao PDR, which has given and received the necessary aid to support the effective and efficient governance and state administration.
The United States Agency for International Development is firm in its commitment to promote members of the National Assembly and People's Council at the provincial level throughout the country with the necessary tools to perform their important duties through effective representation.
The United Nations Development Organization is pleased to support the modernization of the National Assembly and People's Councils at the provincial level throughout the country through the SPAIN project, the delivery of modern equipment and vehicles is the support of the International Development Organization of the United States of America, which contributes to raising the efficiency and effectiveness of the work of the National Assembly and the People's Council at the provincial level in being a voice and responding to the aspirations of the people of Laos.
