Houaphanh expects to attract over 40,000 tourists

KPL (KPL) The Visit Lao Year 2024, Houaphanh province is expected to attract tourists more than 47,000 and make income of 50 billion kip, Governor said.

(KPL) The Visit Lao Year 2024, Houaphanh province is expected to attract tourists more than 47,000 and make income of 50 billion kip, Governor said.

Last year, more than 45.000 tourists travelling to Houaphanh Province and earning more than 32 billion kip were recorded.

 Tourism is currently growing rapidly and is a sector that plays an important role in the socio- economic development of the nation,  and also creates jobs and income for localsMr Khampheng Xaysompheng, Houaphanh governor has said.

Houaphanh province has so far spent large sum of financial support to develop infrastructure, major tourist attractions every year, encouraged line ministries, related sectors including central, local, domestic and international businesses to participate in the development of tourist attractions such as caves in Viengxay district, Namnua Waterfall, Tadsaleuy Waterfall, Tad Kone Waterfall, Hua Mueang Standing Stone Park, Hot Spring Park, Nam Ad-Phu Leuy National Park and other sites.

For the Visit Lao Year 2024 in Houaphanh Province, there are many interested activities each month, such as celebration of Lao New Year Festival.
