Lao National TV Channel 3 Digitalisation Begins

KPL (KPL) February 28 witnessed the launch of an upgrade project designed to digitalize the Lao National Television channel 3 with a grant support worth around 70 billion kip, approximately CNY 45 million, from the Chinese government.


(KPL) February 28 witnessed the launch of an upgrade project designed to digitalize the Lao National Television channel 3with a grant support worth around 70 billion kip, approximately CNY 45 million, from the Chinese government.

The upgrade project will include the comprehensive replacement of standard definition equipment used in producing, broadcasting, editing, and studio equipment at Lao National tv channel 3 with high-definition technologies.

The Chinese government will also provide the tv channel with mobile broadcasting vehicles equipped with HD technologies.

With support from the Chinese government, the Lao tv channel will be able to catch up with its regional and international fellows.
