China International Press Communication Center held its first orientation meeting for Asia-Pacific journalists on May 15 at the Media Communication Conference Hall of Renmin University of China in Beijing.

The meeting was organized ahead of a three-month programme featuring training sessions, seminars, reporting activities, cultural exchanges and study visits across China.
During the orientation, organizers introduced the objectives and background of the programme, provided an overview of the history of Renmin University of China, and briefed participants on accommodation, schedules and other programme arrangements.

Throughout the programme, journalists from the Asia-Pacific region will take part in professional exchanges with Chinese media experts, attend lectures on China’s socio-economic development, diplomacy, culture, science and technology, and participate in reporting activities on major events in China.
Participants will also receive media training and internship opportunities with leading Chinese media organizations, while joining seminars and study visits with government agencies, businesses, research institutions and media organizations across different regions of China.
