Prabang invited for watering

KPL (KPL) On Apr 17, Luang Prabang residents and visitors attended a religious ceremony to invite with great respect revered Prabang so that the statue can be installed temporary at Wat Mai Souvannaphoummaram Temple for locals and visitors to sprinkle perfumed water on.

 

(KPL) On Apr 17, Luang Prabang residents and visitors attended a religious ceremony to  invite with great respect revered Prabang so that the statue can be installed temporary at Wat Mai Souvannaphoummaram Temple for locals and visitors to sprinkle perfumed water on.

Sprinkling water on Prabang Buddha image is held annually on the occasion of Pi Mai Lao or Lao New Year.

The statue will remain at the temple for three days or through Apr 20 before it can be reinstalled at its original house Prabang Hall.

Traditional shows including those performed by Phralak Phralam Theatre will be held during the night to entertain crowded gatherings.
