At the same time, westerly winds will affect the northern provinces, while southeasterly winds will prevail over central and southern regions. These conditions are expected to keep temperatures high across Laos, with some areas experiencing very hot conditions during the afternoon hours. In addition, scattered thunderstorms, lightning, hail, and strong winds are likely to occur in various localities.Authorities are urging the public, local administrations, and organizations nationwide to remain vigilant. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat may increase the risk of fire hazards and pose health risks, particularly to the elderly and young children, including heat stroke.Residents are advised to limit outdoor activities during peak heat periods and to take precautions during storms. People should avoid sheltering under large trees or staying in open areas during thunderstorms due to the risk of lightning strikes.
