The Ministry of Technology and Communications, in collaboration with Bitcik Company Limited, officially opened last Friday the Laos Blockchain Fest 2025 under the inspiring theme “Building a Sustainable Future with Technology.” The event brought together top government officials, industry leaders, and international representatives to explore the transformative potential of digital and blockchain technologies in Laos.

Mr. Boviengkham Vongdala, Minister of Technology and Communications and Permanent Vice-Chairman overseeing national digital transformation, highlighted the festival’s purpose to advance digital technology adoption across society and strengthen the nation’s digital ecosystem through blockchain innovation. “This event is a key step in supporting Laos’ transition to a modern industry, fostering economic growth, and laying the foundation for a robust digital economy,” he said.
The festival aligns with nine strategic objectives for technology and communications development, including promoting Industry 4.0, boosting blockchain applications, and expanding knowledge sharing and collaboration across both public and private sectors.

Attendees experienced a dynamic lineup of activities, including: exhibitions showcasing cutting-edge research, products, and services in blockchain technology, conferences and seminars offering insights into blockchain knowledge, business development and startup opportunities in Laos.
Forums and matchmaking sessions designed to connect local and international partners, promoting collaboration and growth in the blockchain sector.
With the Laos Blockchain Fest 2025, the Ministry of Technology and Communications aims to spark innovation, create opportunities, and position Laos at the forefront of the digital economy in Southeast Asia.
