KPL The Lao Eco Motor Expo 2026 officially opened at the Lao-ITECC Exhibition Center in Vientiane on the evening of March 10, 2026.

(KPL) The Lao Eco Motor Expo 2026 officially opened at the Lao-ITECC Exhibition Center in Vientiane on the evening of March 10, 2026.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Chanthaboun Soukaloun, Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce; Ms. Chanthachone Vongsay, Vice President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Ms. Manivone Khayavong, Deputy Head of Office of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport; Mr. Phanalin Souvannavong, Director of Elegant Events Co., Ltd., along with invited guests and representatives from relevant sectors.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Manivone Vongsay, Director General of the Department of SME Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, noted that the Lao Eco Motor Expo 2026 is being organized for the second time through cooperation between the Department of SME Promotion and Elegant Events Co., Ltd., with support from several sectors including the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, the Vientiane Capital Administration, and various business associations.

The expo aims to bring together leading automotive brands to showcase modern, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies, while providing useful information for consumers and potential buyers.

The event also features a range of activities, including vehicle test drives, road safety awareness campaigns, and youth talent performances.

In addition to more than 10 major automobile brands, the exhibition also highlights domestic products through “One District, One Product” (ODOP) booths and a Street Food Festival, promoting the use of locally produced goods.

Ms. Manivone expressed confidence that the expo would attract strong public interest and help encourage a shift toward more energy-efficient transportation in Lao society before officially declaring the Lao Eco Motor Expo 2026 open.
