The Russian delegation is in Laos to participate in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
During the meeting, Mr. Sinlavong extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and expressed appreciation for Russia’s continued support to Laos across multiple sectors over past decades. He emphasised that the visit reflects the long-standing friendship between the two countries and contributes to further strengthening bilateral ties.
Deputy Chairman Zhuravlyov thanked the LFNC leadership for the cordial reception and provided a brief overview of recent socio-economic developments in the Russian Federation. He reaffirmed Russia’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Laos, particularly in education, services, tourism, and other mutually beneficial fields.
Both sides agreed that the relationship between Laos and Russia continues to deepen, underpinned by shared historical ties and a commitment to expanding cooperation in support of their development priorities.
