President of Laos Receives Top Honor from Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch

KPL (KPL\Moscow, Russia) During an official visit to the Russian Federation from July 30 to August 1, 2025, Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith was awarded the First-Class Medal of Honor and Merit by the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church.

(KPL\Moscow, Russia) During an official visit to the Russian Federation from July 30 to August 1, 2025, Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith was awarded the First-Class Medal of Honor and Merit by the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The award was presented at the Danilov Monastery in Moscow in recognition of the strengthening ties between Laos and Russia. As part of the visit, President Thongloun also toured several cultural and historical landmarks, including Patriot Park and the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces.

The visit was conducted with high-level protocol and warm hospitality. Officials from both nations hailed it as a successful effort to deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation between the two governments and peoples.
