Vietnam: over 300,000 train tickets for Tet holiday sold

KPL More than 300,000 train tickets have been sold as the Lunar New Year (Tet), the biggest festival of the year for Vietnamese people, is only two weeks away.

(KPL/VNA) More than 300,000 train tickets have been sold as the Lunar New Year (Tet), the biggest festival of the year for Vietnamese people, is only two weeks away.

As the tickets for Tet mostly remain for short routes and the availability is limited, passengers are advised to proactively plan their travel to secure seats.
According to the Railway Transport JSC, around 6,000 tickets are available for pre-Tet trips from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi.
From January 15-19 (the 16th to 20th day of the last month of the Year of the Dragon), there are around 3,000 tickets available for passengers traveling from Saigon Station in HCM City to all destinations nationwide.
Previously, the railway sector planned to provide over 200,000 seats on 390 trains for the Year of the Snake holidays./.
