(KPL) On December 25, 2024, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone received a courtesy visit from Pol. Col. Tawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Thailand, and his delegation during their official visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Prime Minister Sonexay warmly welcomed Pol. Col. Tawee Sodsong and expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s visit to Laos. He highlighted the significance of their participation in the 20th Lao-Thai Ministerial Cooperation Meeting on Drug Control, held from December 23 to 26, 2024, in Vientiane. The meeting, a collaboration between the Lao Ministry of Public Security and the Thai Ministry of Justice, contributes to strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between the two governments and peoples.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation, fostering mutual growth in political stability, and maintaining law and order in both countries. He expressed his hope for continued exchanges at all levels, further solidifying the partnership between Lao and Thai ministries.
In response, Pol. Col. Tawee Sodsong thanked Prime Minister Sonexay for the warm reception and took the opportunity to brief him on the outcomes of the bilateral meeting between the Lao Ministry of Public Security and the Thai Ministry of Justice.
