Spouse of Vietnam’s Party Secretary General Visits Laos

KPL At the invitation of Mrs. Naly Sisoulith, spouse of Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Party Secretary General and State President, and Honorary President of the Lao Handicraft Association, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, spouse of Vietnam’s Party Secretary General To Lam, arrived in Vientiane on Sunday evening, November 3, 2024.

(KPL) At the invitation of Mrs. Naly Sisoulith, spouse of Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Party Secretary General and State President, and Honorary President of the Lao Handicraft Association, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, spouse of Vietnam’s Party Secretary General To Lam, arrived in Vientiane on Sunday evening, November 3, 2024.

As part of her visit to Laos from November 3-6, Ngo Phuong Ly will attend the 9th ASEAN Traditional Textile Symposium in Vientiane as a guest of honour.

This symposium is dedicated to promoting traditional textile practices and cultural heritage in the ASEAN region. The event will feature panel presentations, exhibitions, and group discussions by local, regional, and international textile experts.

Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Alouny Kommasith, spouse of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith.

During her visit, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly and her delegation will also visit the Lao Association for Women with Disabilities, explore various tourist attractions, cultural museums, temples, and a selection of handicraft centers in Laos.
