KPL HWPL Eco-Pattani Campaign, Thailand (KPL) On July 5th, an "Eco-Pattani Campaign, Thailand" event was held, organized by the international peace organization HWPL. Through this eco project, HWPL aims to enhance the image of the Pattani region in southern Thailand to one of peace, thereby promoting tourism and alleviating regional conflicts.

(KPL) On July 5th, an "Eco-Pattani Campaign, Thailand" event was held, organized by the international peace organization HWPL.
Through this eco project, HWPL aims to enhance the image of the Pattani region in southern Thailand to one of peace, thereby promoting tourism and alleviating regional conflicts.

The event, held at Wasukri Beach in Saiburi City, Pattani Province, was attended by over 500 people,  the Governor of Pattani Province, the Director of Pattani Tourism Authority, the Director of Pattani Education Office, and the Mayor of Saiburi City. Local volunteer organizations, community representatives, and students also participated in the environmental cleanup activities.

Thailand is famous for its natural tourist attractions. Many people from around the world visit places like Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Pattaya. Although Pattani Province has beautiful natural scenery, it has not received as much attention. Therefore, HWPL organized this event to improve the image of this region and promote its tourism industry.

Since last September, HWPL has shared the draft plan for this campaign, held the "Southern Thailand Eco Campaign Briefing Session" in the southern region of Thailand in December, and took its first steps this July with the proposal and sponsorship of Pattani Province in April. The support provided by Pattani Province for HWPL's campaign, an international peace organization, demonstrates their desire to achieve harmony and peaceful development.

The event ran from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, starting with an opening ceremony followed by volunteer activities. After the activities, an awards ceremony took place. Through this eco campaign, people from various religious, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds in the region came together, uniting their hearts. Wasukri Beach was transformed and cleaned through their benevolent participation.

This event served as a good opportunity for the attending citizens to recognize the importance of nurturing and maintaining their community. Additionally, after visiting the event and delivering a congratulatory speech, the mayor of Sai Buri city proposed new projects to collaborate on with HWPL.

Mr. Waeromlee Waebulat, Chairman of Kampong Takwa in CSO Southernmost Thailand, said, "We are grateful that the international peace organization HWPL from the Republic of Korea has shown interest in the South. We will continue to work together in the future."

Ms. Patita Tachaborawat, the publicity ambassador of HWPL, said, "I am always ready to participate in HWPL's activities. I believe that good things will happen to those who do good work."

Following this event, HWPL plans to continue promoting a culture of peace through ongoing cooperation by conducting eco Campaign tailored to various regions of Thailand, as well as organizing peace walks and peace education events, not only in the Pattani region but throughout the country.

Recent initiatives and programs in this field, along with their significance, have drawn increasing public attention. With its history of colonization and civil war, the country has come to recognize the importance of peace on a profound level. Against this backdrop, the government and higher education institutions have identified peace education for young people as a national priority.
