Luxembourg provides technical cooperation to Laos

KPL (KPL) Luxembourg Development Agency(LuxDevLAO) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos joined hands on Technical Cooperation.

(KPL) Luxembourg Development Agency(LuxDevLAO) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos joined hands on Technical Cooperation.

MoU on Technical Cooperation was signed in Vientiane on July 16 between the Director of the Department of Conventions and Laws, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Phoukhong Sisoulath and Mr. Robert de Waha, regional representative for Laos and Vietnam- LuxDev .

The MOU is an important basis for increasing technical cooperation, in particular, creating awareness and capacity for relevant officials of the Lao PDR regarding international law, law enforcement and international human rights law.

This MOU is also a contribution to promoting the implementation of the obligations of the Lao PDR under the treaty that it is a party to in an efficient and effective manner as well as the achieving sustainable development goals, especially SDG 16.

Through the organization of various seminars and training sessions on topics related to the implementation of conventions in the field of transnational crime, cooperation in international justice, international human rights law and various international judicial body, which cooperation will be in the field of assistance of Luxembourg ICP V, 2023-2027 in terms of good governance and the rule of law.
