President of Lao Front for National Construction meets China's top political advisor

KPL (KPL) Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, President of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC), on Monday met in Beijing Mr Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

(KPL) Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, President of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC), on Monday met in Beijing Mr Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). 

Mr Wang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee said that this year marks the 15th anniversary of the founding of the China-Laos comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

He said the CPPCC National Committee is willing to work with the LFNC Central Committee to implement the important consensus reached by top leaders of the two parties and countries, build a good mechanism and platform for cooperation, and inject more positive energy into the steady and long-term development of a China-Laos community with a shared future.

Mr Sinlavong, who is also a politburo member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), said that Laos has always adhered firmly to the one-China principle and attached great importance to the construction of a Laos-China community with a shared future. He said Laos is willing to strengthen exchanges and experience-sharing with the CPPCC National Committee to build up popular support between the two countries and make new contributions to the development of bilateral relations.

After the meeting, Wang and Sinlavong jointly attended the signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between the CPPCC National Committee and the LFNC Central Committee.
