Sithandine Island Special Economic Zone expects to be completed in 2025

KPL (KPL) The Sithandon special economic zone is expected to be to be completed in 2025, Vice President of Sithandone Development Cooperation Company reported when Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission and State Inspector General Khamphan Phommathat visited the construction site.


(KPL) The Sithandon special economic zone is expected to be to be completed in 2025, Vice President of Sithandone Development Cooperation Company reported when Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission and State Inspector General Khamphan Phommathat visited the construction site.

The delegation was led by Governor of Champasak Province Vilayvong Butdakham along with a delegation from the central and local officials visited Sithandon Special Economic zone on Jan 13 in Champasak Province.

“Currently, the first phase of construction of the Sithandone Special Economic Zone project is under the constructing the Mekong Intercontinental hotel, infrastructure, roads, parking areas, water supply, improvement of tourist attractions, Khone Phapheng and Somphamit waterfalls Paradise Gardens, a warehouse and a fish breeding project,” Mr Zhang Qi, Vice President of Sithandone Development Cooperation Company said.

The first phase of construction of the Sithandone Special Economic Zone project began in 2018 and is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
