Vice Premier receives new Indian diplomat

KPL (KPL) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongloun Sisoulith received yesterday a courtesy call from the new Indian Ambassador to Laos Ravi Shankar Aisola as the latter has just arrived Laos to assume his diplomatic post. Mr Thongloun expressed a warm welcome to the guest and congratulated Ravi Shankar Aisola on his assumption of the diplomatic position in the Lao PDR adding that his appointment to the post contributes significantly to strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries ensures that they are deepened and more fruitful.

(KPL) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongloun Sisoulith received yesterday a courtesy call from the new Indian Ambassador to Laos Ravi Shankar Aisola as the latter has just arrived Laos to assume his diplomatic post.

Mr Thongloun expressed a warm welcome to the guest and congratulated Ravi Shankar Aisola on his assumption of the diplomatic position in the Lao PDR adding that his appointment to the post contributes significantly to strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries ensures that they are deepened and more fruitful.

The Deputy Prime Minister also wished the Indian Ambassador success during his diplomatic mission in the Lao PDR.

Ravi Shankar Aisola expressed thanks to the Deputy Prime Minister for his warm welcome and assured the host that he would pursue his diplomatic mission successfully and do his utmost to strengthen the friendly relationship and cooperation between the two countries.

On the say day, the Deputy Prime Minister also received a courtesy visit from the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of political affairs and Head of ASEAN senior officials of the Republic of Korea Kim Hong Kyun on the occasion of his working visit to Laos on 14-15 October 2015.

Mr Kim Hong Kyun and his entourage also had a bilateral meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alounkeo Kittikhoun to discuss cooperation between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea where both sides expressed satisfaction on the output of the cooperation between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea over the past 25 years and shared views on regional and international issues of common interest.
