(KPL) Lao Skyway, a state enterprise airline company, has resumed domestic flight operation after a temporary halt caused by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Passengers are required to comply strictly with its anti-Covid-19 measures.
“We resumed flight operation on June 25 for domestic routes to Phongsaly, Huaphan, Luang Namtha and Oudomxay. On July 5, we launched more routes for Luang Prabang, Xieng Khuang and Champasak,” the CEO of Lao Skyway Siviengthong Konnivong said in an interview to the media on Jul 9.
“Our air travel service complies with the Covid-19 control and prevention measures of the central Taskforce Committee and the COVID-19 SOP guidelines of our own company including social distancing at the airport, hand washing with gels, temperature test, and we recommend our passengers to wear facemasks throughout the trip. We splay disinfectants inside and outside the plane every time we operate a flight,” said the CEO of Lao Skyway.

Lao Skyway cabin crew members are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPEs) every time they operate a risky flight.
Flight service is available only to those who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (receiving two doses of Covid-19 vaccine), assigned for official business, or allowed by central or provincial Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.
Foreign passengers are required to hold a 14-day quarantine certificate or a permit from the central taskfoce committee, except those working or residing in the Lao PDR for a long time as they will be treated as a local passenger.
Passengers can buy tickets at Lao Skyway ticket booths or tour agents, or place an order on Lao Skyway website, or through its app or mobile app of Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public.
