Laos Welcomes Inter-Korean Summit Outcome

KPL (KPL) Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith on Apr 28 issued a statement saying that the Lao PDR welcomes the successful outcome of the historic Summit of the Leaders of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on April 27 2018.

(KPL) Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith on Apr 28 issued a statement saying that the Lao PDR welcomes the successful outcome of the historic Summit of the Leaders of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on April 27 2018.  

Minister Saleumxay said in the statement:

The Lao PDR views that the outcome of the Summit would significantly contribute to the enhancement of the bilateral relations between the DPRK and ROK, the maintenance of peace and stability on the Peninsula and the world as well as the denuclearization of the Peninsula.

The Lao PDR also welcomes positive and constructive developments in the Korean Peninsula and calls on all parties concerned to continue to exert their joint efforts to further strengthen this positive momentum.

The Lao PDR reiterates its consistent support for denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula by peaceful means, as well as for peace, stability and development cooperation on the Korean Peninsula and the world at large.
