(KPL) On April 25, a donation ceremony was held at the assembly hall of the Ethnic Secondary School in Champasak Province, where high-level leadership families, in collaboration with the Champasak Solidarity Fund for Social Relief and the Champasak Provincial Women Business Association, provided assistance to students.
The delegation was led by Mrs. Vandala Siphandone, wife of the Prime Minister, and Mrs. Viengsamay Sounnalat, President of the Champasak Solidarity Fund for Social Relief, together with members of the Provincial Women Business Association.
The donation was officially received by Mrs. Chanthon Phouvanno, Director of the school, in the presence of Mr. Phouvong Aphay, Head of the Provincial Department of Education and Sports, along with representatives from relevant sectors, teachers, and students.
The donated items included essential educational and daily-use supplies. Stationery items such as notebooks, pens, and pencils were provided to support learning activities. Food supplies, including snacks, instant noodles, canned fish, and milk, were distributed to improve student nutrition. Personal hygiene products, such as detergent, soap, and toothpaste, were also included. In addition, sports equipment was donated to support extracurricular activities. The delegation also presented a cash contribution to assist with the school’s administrative expenses.
The total value of the donated goods and financial support exceeded 70 million kip.
The initiative aims to support and encourage both the school and its students by providing necessary materials for teaching and learning. It also seeks to contribute to the ongoing improvement of educational quality and student well-being at the Ethnic Secondary School.
